About Babette’s Feast: This Danish film tells the heart-warming story of a strict religious community in a 19th century Danish village that takes in a French refugee from the Franco-Prussian War as a servant to the late pastor’s daughters. This spiritual film shows how the refugee Babette brings joy and grace to others by offering a gift of her talents, which costs her everything she has, but brings peace to a community and to herself.
